Paris Saint-Germain have reached agreement with Lionel Messi and his lawyers with the 34-year-old expected in the French capital this afternoon.
However, the Argentine superstar could have confirmed the switch to PSG himself by donning a T-shirt with the inscription “ici c’est paris” which literally translates to “Here’s is Paris”.
Messi was pictured in the shirt waving at supporters as he made his to put an end to the transfer saga that had dominated sport columns in the past week.
Sources at the French club confirmed Messi’s lawyers had been pouring over PSG’s contract proposal since Sunday but gave it their approval this morning and Messi is travelling to Paris today from his home in Barcelona.

The 34-year-old was pictured at Barcelona airport alongside his wife Antonella and their three children, Thiago, eight, Mateo, five, and Ciro, three.
Antonella later posted a selfie alongside her husband as they sat on their private jet waiting to fly to France.
