Nigerian youths disappointed as Naira Marley cancels #EndSARS protest

Singer, Naira Marley has announced the cancellation of the planned protest scheduled to hold today as regards the injustice and killings of innocent people by SARS officials.
The singer announced that the protest would be a peaceful one and there would be no violence whatsoever but was stopped short after the intervention of the Nigerian police force stating that the complaints on the issues of unprofessional conducts by some SARS officials is being addressed by the police force.

@officialnairam1 The Inspector General of Police wishes to inform Nigerian youths that their voices and complaints on the issues of unprofessional conducts by some SARS operatives have been heared very loudly and clearly.

While responding to this, Naira Marley stated that the scheduled protest would no longer hold adding that if there are no changes within a week, there would be a mass protest.

He wrote: “We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now. As a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there’s no changes we will start a mass protest. #togetherwecan

Unfortunately, Naira Marley’s announcement has been received with a lot of disappointment from youths hoping to take to the streets and register their reservations against activities of SARS operatives.
