Fresh from releasing the Made in Lagos album, Wizkid is not resting on his laurels just yet. The 14-track jam, released on the 29th October, is currently the rave of the moment. Meanwhile, it seems Wizkid has greater plans for the year 2021.
This year has been a difficult one for everyone with the Covid 19 pandemic dominating the better part of the year. It is no surprise that the ‘Smile‘ crooner is already looking forward to next year.
Sensational singer, Wizkid has revealed why he is yet to bring a superstar like the rest of his colleagues in the Nigerian music industry.
In a recent interview with D Boy Dayo and Mansour of the Beat 103.6 FM London, Wizkid was asked why he hasn’t brought up superstars in the industry just like the likes of Don Jazzy, Davido and Olamide have done.
Wizkid responded quite frankly that his focus has been about himself but he’s been working on a lot of things and hopes that next year his gonna be an amazing year.
“There’s a reason why I haven’t like truly put a lot of artists through from back home at the same time,” Starboy said.
“First of all,” he continues “I’m my own boss and I don’t take orders from nobody, I’m my own accountant, I’m my own everything.
“So it’s like I have to make sure we’re bringing out the best of the best talent. We’ve been working on certain things for years and I feel like 2021 is gon’ be amazing.”
