Nigerian singer Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz the Bad Guy has been one of the celebrities at the forefront of the ongoing protest in the country.
The music star took to social media to update fans on the progress made so far via a short clip that the presidency had approved that a judicial panel of inquiry should be set up that would look into all cases of Police brutality in the states.
According to Falz, the panel created will have to listen to victims of Police brutality, they would share their stories and provide evidences adding that after collecting the evidences, the officers found guilty would be prosecuted by the attorney general of the state if it is a criminal offence.
The singer made it known that when a police officer shoots, it is regarded as a murder and when they beat people brutally, it would be termed as torture also, when they forcefully take people to the ATMs to withdraw their hard earned money, it would be treated as armed robbery.
Falz noted that these offences are in the jurisdiction of state offences and the attorney general of the state can prosecute offenders noting that nobody should listen to their governors if they fail to prosecute anyone for such crimes.
He further advised youths in each state to choose a representative to be at the panel, to monitor things and also keep people informed.
